Danny Darcy, a local Galway Musician living in Mallorca, will donate all proceeds of his new single "I Need You" to the Galway Simon Community. To promote this single, Danny played in Roisin Dubh on Tuesday 2nd December as part of his latest Irish Tour. Reports are that it was a great night of live entertainment. The single will be on sale online at galwaysimon.ie, and from the Galway Simon Office at The Cresent.
Danny's music has been getting fabulous reviews from all over the world, with over 80,000 views at his online studio and we are truly thrilled that Danny would assist us in this way. His songs can be listened to online at: http://www.dannydarcy.net/

Though we receive state support for our work it covers only 67% of our expenditure on services and consequently the income from this CD is most welcome and our sincere thanks to all who contributed so generously of their time and talents. The Galway Simon Community would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to all the musicians that contributed to this CD. Their contributions will go a long way to provide help and care to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Galway and the West of Ireland.

The choir sings a mixture of contemporary and traditional gospel music under the direction of conductor Niamh O'Cheallaigh.
The choir performed along with the Mayo Girls Choir (Cantaraí Umhaill) and the Mayo Bell Choir at the annual Carol Service at Ballintubber Abbey.
In October the choir performed as special guests at a concert of the world famous Harlem Gospel Choir when they performed in Castlebar as part of their European Tour.
The CD is for sale at €15 with all proceeds going to Galway Simon Community.
