We believe that early intervention is key to preventing homelessness. Our main focus is to keep people in the homes they have through the work of our Community Support Team and Resource Centre. Most of the people who access our homelessness prevention services live in housing provided by the private rented sector, approved housing bodies or social housing.

Community Support Team

Our Community Support service works with men, women and families to prevent them from becoming homeless. They do this by helping people remain in their own home or to find a new home, and to continue to live as part of their local community. Our team works closely with people to provide advice, support and practical assistance and they help people to access other services. Common areas of support provided include:

  • Managing tenancies and resettlement into a new home through mainstream housing
  • Budgeting skills, rent arrears and debt management
  • Addressing addiction, physical and mental health concerns
  • Practical life skills
  • Health and wellbeing including social isolation
  • Training, employment and education

If you are at risk of homelessness, you can make a referral to our Community Support Team by completing our online referral form or by contacting us on 091 381828.
